I was in an American highschool. I believe they were having a sports day or something. We were in the gymnasium. My friend was there too, she went to the school while i was just visiting her i guess, though she lives in the uk irl. We were sitting on the floor and she left and came back with a game. After sometime, classmates came over and scolded her for stealing it. She had a nonchalant response and did not care. I went out and someone wrote a note.on the door. Don't really remember now but it involved threatening/saying he'd shoot up the school(im not.sure why, but i think a homeless guy wrote it?). I tiptoed to a nearby house and hid, expecting gunshots but they never came. Then, the scene changed. I was in my room, but it wasn't actually my room irl, it was my parent's. So I guess my parent's room was my room in the dream. There was a room in front of where my bed was that was very dark, so I went to turn on the lights but it didn't work.so I went to my parents room, I never see them myself, but it's implied in the dream that I did. A girl's voice speaks narrating what happened, I guess that's supposed to be me? Though she didn't sound like me at all. She says she(I?) Threatened to kill myself if my dad didn't fix my light. I turn to the left and see a noose still hanging from the roof, but cut where the neck should be in the kitchen. I leave the apartment and there's a stair case(i guess it takes place in an apartment complex), a large man is masturbating on it, he sees me and follows me, I run away to my apartment. Then I go to the right exit, where there's another staircase. I go down and there's another man masturbating, he's staring at me. I see a boy, can't be older that 9 or 10. He's naked, and has clearly been assaulted by the man. I run away to my apartment, but I dont make it I think, I think he caught up to me, because I woke up
Dreams involving high school settings often reflect feelings of nostalgia, insecurity, or the desire to fit in. The presence of your friend from the UK could represent a sense of longing or connection with a distant part of your life. The game your friend brings that she is accused of stealing may symbolize feelings of guilt or conflict in a relationship.
The threatening note about a school shooting could indicate feelings of fear, vulnerability, or insecurity in waking life. The inability to turn on the lights in the dark room may suggest a lack of clarity or understanding in a situation. The mention of self-harm or suicide in the dream may reflect inner turmoil, emotional distress, or a cry for help.
Encountering men masturbating in the dream may symbolize feelings of vulnerability, invasion of privacy, or a sense of violation. The naked boy who appears to have been assaulted could represent issues related to vulnerability, innocence, or trauma. Running away from the men suggests a desire to escape or avoid a threatening situation.
Overall, this dream may be a reflection of deep-seated fears, anxieties, or unresolved emotions. It could be beneficial to explore these themes further in order to process and address any underlying issues that may be causing distress in your waking life.
